What Do I Need To Get Fingerprinted?

Bringing the correct ID and Live Scan Request Form is required to complete your fingerprinting. Without them, we cannot legally process your prints. Missing items may cause delays, rescheduling, or impact your job, license, or background check timelines.

  • Live Scan Request Form (from the agency requesting your background check – must be completed and signed).

  • DOJ/FBI Fees will be charged depending on the background check requested by the agency. Fees range from $17-$79. 

  • Make sure the form has the correct ORI code provided by the requesting agency — this ensures your results go to the right place.

  • Valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., California driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID)

  • Location details (if using our mobile Live Scan services – confirm your appointment details.

  • Authorization or service code (if your employer or organization is covering the cost)

  • Check Status: Visit the DOJ’s Background Check Status page, enter the original ATI number (from your livescan provider) and date of birth to see if results have been sent and check the status.

  • Any reference or billing account number (if provided by the requesting agency)

Travel fees range from $25-$55 depending on the location. This will be added upon confirmation of appointment details.
